Privacy Policy

What We Collect

Nothing. AppMetadataLocalization has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no crash reporting. We cannot see your metadata, your API keys or how you use the app, because none of it ever reaches us.

The app runs entirely on your Mac and communicates with exactly two parties, both of which you choose: Apple, and the AI provider whose key you supplied.

Your Credentials

Your App Store Connect private key and your AI provider API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain. They are never written to disk in plaintext, never logged and never transmitted to us.

Each key is used only for the service it belongs to:

• The App Store Connect key signs short-lived tokens that authenticate you to Apple. Signing happens on your Mac; the key itself is never sent anywhere.
• An AI provider key is sent only to that provider, and only when you run a generation with it.
• Non-secret settings such as your Key ID, Issuer ID and provider labels are kept in ordinary app preferences on your Mac.

Your App Metadata

When you generate a locale, the source metadata you selected is sent from your Mac to the AI provider you chose, so that it can be translated. That provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, which we suggest you read before picking one.

Generated results are cached on your Mac until you publish or discard them. Publishing sends the approved text directly to App Store Connect. Nothing is copied to us at any point in that flow.

Sharing and Selling

We have no data to share, and we sell nothing. There are no advertisers, no trackers, no third-party SDKs and no data brokers involved in this app.
